Welcome to Pleasant Valley Farm! I’m Tracy, an 8th-generation Erwin family member — one of 16 current family members who reside and farm on our beloved land. Nestled in the heart of historic Columbia, Tennessee, our family-owned Century Farm has been a cherished part of our family — and the community — for over 100 years.
My mother, Sherry (Erwin) Graham, and I run the lodging, location rental, flower and vegetable farming, the foundation, and this website. My cousins raise beef cattle and produce delicious meat.

At Pleasant Valley Farm, we offer a unique blend of experiences. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat in one of our cozy Airbnb properties, planning an intimate event like a family reunion or corporate retreat, or looking for the perfect venue for your special occasions like showers or rehearsal dinners, we have you covered.
But we’re not just about relaxation and celebrations. Thanks to a recent grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Services, we’re expanding our horizons with a 3,000-square-foot hoop house, where we grow vibrant flowers for local florists and sustainably cultivate produce.
And here’s what truly sets us apart: the Pleasant Valley Farm Foundation. As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, we’re committed to giving back to our community. Through our foundation, we grow nutritious vegetables for local food banks and plan to partner with schools to provide farm-fresh goodness for nutritious lunches, ensuring that everyone has access to healthy, locally sourced food.
So whether you’re looking for a tranquil getaway, a picturesque venue for your next event, or a partner in sustainability and community outreach, Pleasant Valley Farm is here to welcome you with open arms and Southern hospitality.

Ongoing Projects & Initiatives
Pleasant Valley Farm Foundation
501(c)(3)
The mission of the Pleasant Valley Farm Foundation is to nourish both bodies and communities through sustainable agriculture. We are dedicated to growing fresh, nutritious produce for local school lunches, fostering healthy eating habits, and supporting farm-to-school initiatives. Additionally, we are committed to alleviating food insecurity by donating our harvest to local food banks, ensuring that everyone has access to wholesome, locally-sourced food. With every bloom and harvest, Pleasant Valley Farm Foundation strives to cultivate a healthier, more resilient community while honoring our agricultural heritage.
Pleasant Valley Farms is not just growing flowers and vegetables; we’re cultivating hope, resilience, and a healthier future for all.

“Do you mean to tell me Katie Scarlett O’Hara, that Tara – that land doesn’t mean anything to you? Why land’s the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for, because it’s the only thing that lasts. Now you’re just a child. It’ll come to you, this love of the land.”
Gone With The Wind, 1939
Pleasant Valley Farm offers a variety of event locations from a romantic dinner for two on the Sunset Balcony (a beautiful place for a proposal, perhaps?) to an engagement or graduation party for up to 100 people.
Looking for a cool place to do an outdoor team building exercise followed by a casual indoor meeting space that’s not your conference room? Come & visit PVF, where the chairs are comfy and the wifi is speedy.
We host wine tastings, food pairings, Sunday brunch and more. We value nothing more than the time we’ve spent with family here on the farm. Soon we will be hosting hayrides, outdoor movie nights and more. If you’d like to be updated as events are scheduled, please join our email list below.

Our 100+ years of History
According to family history, Pleasant Valley Farm was passed to the Erwin family in approximately 1837. Over the years, the farm was improved by each generation that held the deed. Grandfather of the current generation working the land, J.B. Erwin, would always tell his family to “leave the land better than when it was given to you.”
While the early years focused on family sustenance, later years saw the farm improve its productivity and sell more crops and livestock to the public.
In 1900, John Dixon, one of the cousins, purchased the 365-acre farm from his in-laws. The first farmhouse, aka The Old Homestead, was constructed in the late 1850s…
